The plot and teaser trailer for the live-action How to Train Your Dragon

On the island of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have been bitter enemies for generations, there is a boy named Hiccup (Mason Thames) who stands out from the others. The resourceful but overlooked son of Chief Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler, who voiced the character in the animated version) defies centuries of tradition when he befriends Toothless, a dragon of the feared Night Fury species. Their unlikely bond reveals the true nature of dragons, challenging the very foundations of Viking society. Along with the aggressive and ambitious Astrid (Nico Parker) and the village's eccentric blacksmith Gobber (Nick Frost), Hiccup faces a world torn apart by fear and misunderstanding.

When an ancient threat emerges, endangering Vikings and dragons alike, Hiccup's friendship with Toothless becomes the key to forging a new future. Together, they must walk the delicate path to peace, rising beyond the confines of their worlds and redefining what it means to be a hero and a leader. The live-action cast also includes Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2) as Snotlout, Gabriel Howell (Bodies), Bronwyn James (Wicked), Harry Trevaldwyn (Smothered) as Troughhead, Ruth Codd (The Midnight Club) as the wise Phlegmatic, Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Murray McArthur (Game of Thrones).
