Agatha All Along has achieved resounding success with its latest episodes on Disney+, reaching record numbers of views. Episode 8, launched together with the season finale, recorded 4.6 million views in the first 24 hours, marking a 48% increase compared to the premiere. Episode 9 also exceeded expectations, obtaining 3.9 million views in a single day, with a 26% increase compared to the first episode. The series, centered on the adventures of the witch Agatha Harkness, has kept the public's attention high until the end.
Despite the slight drop in viewers for the final episode, Agatha All Along has still marked an excellent overall performance due to the simultaneous publication of the last two episodes. Disney has confirmed that the first episode has accumulated approximately 9.3 million views in its first week of availability. Disney, like Netflix, calculates views based on total viewing time, clearly indicating the interest aroused by the series. However, comparison with other titles is not always easy, as the platform does not make complete viewing data public for all series.
In the case of productions such as The Acolyte and Ahsoka, for example, data was released only for the first five days, while Percy Jackson and the Olympians had a report relating to the first six days of streaming. Agatha All Along has rightfully entered the Nielsen streaming charts thanks to the first two weeks of availability on Disney+. This milestone, however, has undergone some variations: initially, the series enjoyed a strong boost thanks to the simultaneous release of two episodes but later recorded a slight decline in the second week, totaling 365 million minutes viewed against the 400 million of the first week.
The reduction in viewing time may be due to the weekly release of new episodes and the shorter length of individual episodes, factors that can limit the Nielsen rankings. However, the excellent reception given to the finale demonstrates that Agatha All Along has been able to maintain high audience interest, positioning itself as one of the most discussed titles on the platform.
The series adds to the success of other Marvel shows on Disney+, such as Loki, which recorded 10.9 million views in the first three days of the second season. Although Disney has never released complete data for the previous WandaVision, the popularity of Agatha All Along confirms the continued interest in Marvel characters, further enriching the offering of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on the streamer. With this result, Agatha All Along proves to be a flagship title for Disney+, which continues to focus on Marvel content to attract and retain audiences.
