It has been announced that a new drama "John Wick: Under The High Table", a sequel to "John Wick 4" (2023) starring Keanu Reeves, will be produced. Deadline reports. According to sources, this series will be a separate project from the previously reported fifth movie in the series. The story will start after "Consequences", which concludes the story of the protagonist John Wick, played by Keanu. The synopsis is as follows:

"After John Wick leaves the world of the High Table in a precarious position, new characters are trying to make a name for themselves while the franchise's established characters continue to cling to the old world order. This series will combine the old and the new and will bring the Wick universe into a new era."

In this project, Keanu Reeves, who has played the lead role so far, and director Chad Stahelski will return as executive producers. Stahelski will also direct the pilot episode. Robert Levin, who worked on Black Sails (2014-2017), will be the screenwriter.

As the new and old are combined, it is expected that cast members from the previous series will return. At this time, Keanu is not expected to reprise his role, but he is said to be actively involved in the project. In addition to Keanu and director Stahelski, the executive producers are screenwriter Levin, and film producers Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee. The broadcast and distribution destinations have not yet been decided, and as this is a highly anticipated project, a fierce battle for rights is expected.

The "John Wick" universe is expanding. In 2023, the series' first live-action drama spinoff, "The Continent: From the World of John Wick," was distributed. In June 2025, the spinoff film "Ballerina," starring Ana de Armas, is scheduled to be released in the United States. In addition, a solo spinoff film of Kane, played by Donnie Yen, who first appeared in "Consequences," an animated series, and the fifth installment of the main series is also in the planning stages, making us excited about the arrival of a new era.
