Dafne Keen

Dafne Keen has expressed her excitement about a possible return to the role of X-23, the character she played in Logan and Deadpool & Wolverine. In an interview with ComicBook.com's Phase Zero podcast, the actress confirmed her interest in reprising the role of Laura/X-23 in future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects. Keen described the opportunity to reprise her role as X-23 as a great honor, noting that she feels she's only "scratched the surface" of the character.

What do we know about the characters' futures after Deadpool & Wolverine?

The question of how X-23 fits into the Marvel Cinematic Universe was clarified during the interview. Keen has confirmed that, contrary to speculation, her character in Deadpool and Wolverine will not be a variant, but the same Laura from Logan. This clarification was provided by the directors and cast, who explained that the character has followed a timeline that led to her appearance in the latest film. Deadpool and Wolverine, directed by Shawn Levy and co-written by Ryan Reynolds, reunites the latter with Hugh Jackman in the roles of Wolverine and Deadpool, respectively.

The film also features a diverse cast, including Morena Baccarin, Karan Soni, and Emma Corrin. Shawn Levy, who previously worked with Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project, also discussed his future collaborations with Marvel Studios, after Deadpool and Wolverine. While there are no official details, Levy expressed his excitement about possible future projects with Marvel, confirming that discussions are ongoing with Marvel Studios executives Kevin Feige and Louis D’Esposito.
