The final season of Stranger Things continues to be filmed and new images from the set show the group of friends repeating the classic moment with bicycles. It is possible to see Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp and Nell Fisher, a new addition to the cast. The fifth season of Stranger Things is currently being filmed, after being halted in May 2023 with the Writers Guild strike, as creators Matt and Ross Duffer decided not to film anything during the category's strike. The screenwriters were joined by the Actors' Union, who joined forces in July. The writers' strike ended in September and the actors' strike in October. Stranger Things returned to development soon after and filming began earlier this year.
With no premiere date yet, the fifth season of Stranger Things will end the story. We know very little, but the creators promised a time jump and focus on the original characters, without new protagonists like Eddie (Joseph Quinn) in the fourth season. We know that the group of friends that includes Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Will (Noah Schnapp) and Max (Sadie Sink) will need to fight Vecna ( Jamie Campbell Bower), who managed to get out of the Upside Down. David Harbour, Maya Hawke, Winona Ryder, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery complete the cast of the series created by brothers Matt and Ross Duffer. For the final season, Linda Hamilton, the legendary Sarah Connor from the Terminator franchise, will be the new addition to the cast.

Stranger Things derivatives:
The play is based on an original story created by the Duffer Brothers, creators of the series, Kate Trefry, writer of Stranger Things, and Jack Thorne, writer of Enola Holmes 2. Trefry wrote the script, and Tony winner Stephen Daldry will direct alongside Justin Martin. The First Shadow is set in Hawkins, in 1959, and will follow the characters' youth facing everyday problems. In addition to this, there are animated series inspired by 1980s cartoons such as He-Man and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in development. It's unclear if this is a different project, or if it's the Tokyo anime, which will follow video game-loving twin brothers who encounter the Upside Down in the 1980s.
